Two years on from previous single Mushroom Kingdom, Aussie psych-pop four-piece are finally back with their new single and music video, the irresistibly fun and catchy Made To Love, out August 5 and premiering on Pilerats today!

An addictive two-and-a-half minute blast of garage rock influenced pop sounds, Made To Love packs big, fuzzed out guitar hooks, a low slung bass line, propulsive drums and the all too alluring vocal duets of singers and guitarists Winter McQuinn and Evie Vlah.

Written by McQuinn while he and his partner were in lockdown in regional Victoria last year, he explains "We wrote the lyrics together when we were both feeling the pull and desire to move out of the city and get away from the nine-to-five lifestyle. The song's message follows this desire about wanting to leave the city life behind and enjoy each other's company as we ride out the Apocalypse.”

Made To Love comes with an appropriately glamorous and nostalgic music video that was directed and edited by Vlah as she explains "I wanted the video to give people a short and punchy hit of nostalgia. We handmade all the props and edited it ourselves, adding in all the 70s flair we could."

I’d say Vlah and the band nailed it - check it out!
