The One Day crew are taking over the Perth night time with Friday Night Lights

We've been getting around the One Day crew for basically as long as they've been in operation, following their humble beginnings from one-off singles way back in 2014 and their now-notorious day parties to where they are now - selling out some major shows on the east and west coasts and even taking over a Fremantle beach for a fully-fledged music festival. One thing that has remained true across all this time, however, is their knack for turning your regular, hangover-filled Sundays into something special, throwing together top-tier lineups sporting DJ favourites from both sides of the country and pairing it with the odd live act to add a little hip-hop boost to your Sundays - whether it be at your local, like Rosemount Hotel, or bigger-picture full venue takeovers at Perth institutions including Noodle Palace and Embargo Bar.

Although their signature Sunday sessions aren't going anywhere, they now have their eyes set on a new prize - Fridays. As a part of the inaugural Sola Festival, the One Day crew are taking over Elizabeth Quay on Friday, March 22nd for Friday Night Lights - a one-off event that brings that classic One Day charm to a new time, promising a whole lot of good stuff in the meantime. On the line-up side of things, Friday Night Lights will see the return of some of their finest selectors - including One Day DJs, Aslan, DAWS, SAL, Mowgli and more - while also doing what they do best and spotlighting a couple of smaller, up-and-coming live hip-hop acts, Perth's Young Jaycee and 506.
