Huge: Channel Tres is teasing a new EP out Friday feat. Tyler, The Creator and Tinashe

One of music's most infectious new additions over the last few years has to be Channel Tres, the GODMODE producer/rapper/master of all trades who since breaking-out with his debut EP Controller in 2018, has blossomed into one of music's most inventive and addictingly brilliant names. Everything he's released is definitively Channel Tres; a blend of Chicago house and hip-hop that couldn't come from anyone else, regardless of whether it's through his own work (take his self-titled debut EP, for example), his collaborations with SG Lewis and Bauuer, or remixes for Tyler The Creator.

Even in 2020, he's continued to thrive, despite a comparatively quiet year for Channel Tres compared to his recent output. He showcased his craft as a multi-faceted heavyweight throughout the year, remixing King Princess' Hit The Back and Joji's Gimme Love amongst his brilliant contribution to SG Lewis' Impact, which alongside Robyn, proved to be one of the year's biggest collaborations. In terms of solo singles, there was a couple scattered throughout the year too - Weedman first, followed by skate depot a little later in the year.

Now, it looks like Channel Tres is concluding his 2020 with his biggest release to date: a seven-track EP titled i can't go outside, teased for release this Friday, December 11th via a post on his Twitter account. Featuring skate depot (but not Weedman, interestingly enough), the seven-track EP is sure to be an encapsulation of Channel Tres' craft and how its continued to evolve throughout the course of the year, enlisting two big faces - rapper Tyler, The Creator and R&B favourite Tinashe - as he enlisted the EP's tracklisting today.

Tyler, The Creator features on the EP's third-last track Fuego which we're sure is going to live up to its name, while Tinashe features just a track later, on Take Your Time. They're sure to be collaborations that further detail the king-like reign of Channel Tres, who is proving more and more unstoppable with everything he's put out.
