In The Booth: Wax Motif

The man knows his way around a banger or two.

Influential Aussie booking group BBE have recently launched a new arm to their ever-expanding bag of swag - the BBE Agency, signing bass music beasts Slander, NGHTMRE and Aussie g-house guru, Wax Motif. To celebrate the latter's current Australian tour, we asked him for a few choice selections he'd normally turn to in one of his heaving DJ sets, and the man has not disappointed. Check 'em out below, with the remaining tour dates down the bottom:

Take us through a set with Wax Motif:

Essential vibe - half hip hop and half house with a couple of weird bangers thrown in for good measure

What track are you opening up with?

You’re miles away from home and you want to show some love for your home town/country. Which friend’s work are you gonna play?

Motez - his tracks always fit really well into my sets.

The audience are well-oiled, now it’s time to make them lose their shit. What track is going to do it?

You’ve got ‘em now, got a track show off how deep your taste goes?

Energy levels are waning slightly, what’s a fail safe pick me up – either for yourself, or the crowd?

Probably this dope Flosstradamus mashup of Post Malone and Jack U.

We’re on the home stretch, what’s a brand new track you’re going to test out?

This new collab I just did with Vindata...

It’s time for a breather, got a track with some real emotional feels?

Good night all and thanks for coming – what track are you going to leave everyone with?
