Exclusive: Yeo adds his masterful touch to KLP's Changes
The Melbourne-based songwriter/producer continues his big year with a dazzling, indie-electro remix.
In the lead-up to his forthcoming second album Desire Path (set for release August 18th), Melbourne's Yeo has had a dream run. The singer-songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist kicked it all off with the dancehall-tinged Asta collaboration Never Wanted That, one of our ten favourite songs of the year thus far, before diving into a realm of different sounds and styles on the album's fortnightly single releases since, including tracks such as Amy, Three Dots and most recently, Plug Me In. Today the producer continues his consistent run with not another single, but a remix this time, reworking KLP's energetic banger Changes into a mellow, indie-electronic soother. Yeo's remix highlights his now familiar knack for intricate beat-making, with a wonky bassline and layers of percussion forming the perfect accompaniment to KLP's vocals and the subtle brass work from the original. Listen to the remix below, which arrives alongside remixes by Donatachi, FROYO and a couple of others later this week.
