Yeo’s chillingly beautiful vocals temper this track as an absolute thumper to create a simmering summer vibe in your cold bedrooms. Tangy synth is paired with island tones that make Quiet Achiever just that. The constant contrast between instruments will keep you guessing and your shoulders shimmying. The slow ascent of this track makes for a deliciously subtle incline only to burst into what can only be described as an airhorn climax. Quiet Achiever’is one of those tunes that as it goes on, it only gets stronger and evolves into three different genres within its humble three minutes.
What begins as a delightful meshing of atmospheric house vibes slowly morphs into a raucous hip hop-styled finish that will leave you wondering where you left your wallet last night. It perfectly encapsulates a rambunctious Saturday night; starting off timidly only to crash into solid beats and clashing bass. Yeo’s vocals still hold the main gaze, as his instrumental work remains playful, cheeky, and a little bit rude. But we all love that, don’t we? This is the first taste of his upcoming LP due out later this year, and if Quiet Achiever is anything to go by, this producer’s rise will be anything but quiet.
