Cut Copy's new album is out next week, so here's a new single by them

Black Rainbows is Haiku From Zero's third single, and an absolute ripper at that.

If you visit the Pilerats site semi-often (hell, maybe even once a month), chances are you've come across an article or two about how much we miss the Australian bloghouse era and how badly we want it back. Cut Copy were (and still are) one of our favourite Australian bands from that era, so news that they're releasing a new album next week has us foaming at the mouth, probably as expected. After the cracking returning single Airborne and last month's funky, tribal-tinged Standing In The Middle Of The Field, the group have just shared the album's third single - Black RainbowsBlack Rainbows sees Cut Copy dig into the infectiously funky sounds of their In Ghost Colour era, crafting up a tasty little floor-filler that charges with a funky bassline, retro synth work and Dan Whitford's effortlessly cool vocals. Check out the single below, and brace yourself for Haiku From Zero's arrival next Friday.

Haiku From Zero tracklisting:

1. Standing in the Middle of the Field

2. Counting Down

3. Black Rainbows

4. Stars Last Me a Lifetime

5. Airborne

6. No Fixed Destination

7. Memories We Share

8. Living Upside Down

9. Tied to the Weather
