2016's first Electronic Music Conference speaker lineup is the definition of stacked

2016's first Electronic Music Conference speaker lineup is the definition of stacked

EMC (and EMC Play) returns this November and includes names from Boiler Room, Goldenvoice and more.

Since announcing Amsterdam's night mayor Mirik Milan as the first speaker of EMC 2016 (presumably to tell Sydney what the hell to do about this stupid, middle-aged lock-out laws), we've been extremely keen to see what the Electronic Music Conference of 2016 has in stall for us and now, finally, comes the event's first speaker line-up announcement. Taking place in Sydney's IVY Complex between November 28 and December 2, this year's EMC is absolutely gigantic, with some extremely big names behind (and in front, I guess) of the music industry making appearances in Sydney to talk for the event.

Included on the bill (in alphabetical order below) is Future Classic General Manager and #girlboss Anna Burns, Red Bull Australia's Culture Marketing Manager Erica Valenti, Aussie DJ Generik, US artist and LGBTI figure Honey Dijon, legendary UK producer Leftfield, Goldenvoice's Senior Vice President of Talent Buying Lesley Olenik (i.e. the one that books acts to play festivals such as freakin' Coachella and its recently-launched counterpart Panorama Festival) and Boiler Room's Head of Music Raj Chaudhuri.

For people deep into the electronic music or those wanting to edge their way in, EMC is a must-go event on everyone's calendar and this year is definitely no different. Tickets this year are split into four categories – EMC Academy, EMC Pro, EMC Premium and EMC Play, with tickets to the latter yet to be released (however triple j Unearthed bossman Dave Ruby Howe is programming the show). For the rest, you can suss out the details and buy early bird tickets from only $99 HERE. Applications to play at EMC Play are open until this Sunday HERE.
