Waleed Aly's summation of ISIL is important viewing

With so many conflicting emotions happening rn, this is essential viewing.

It's been a full-on (to put it lightly) past few days since the Paris attacks. A lot of people are hurt, confused, scared, angry... And when you have a platform like social media to share your uncensored feelings to the larger audience, things can get even more confusing and scary. For instance the outpouring of grief towards France seemingly finding an even bigger audience of people angry about the lack of attention thrown on places like Beirut suffering in similar situations. Or anger about people changing their profile pic in support of France. However you feel about it all, it's a situation that pretty much plays into ISIL's hands - especially the negative attitudes that always grow around terrorist attacks towards the Muslim community.
