Purveyor of experimental pop drops a biblical new single and music video

Following up recent single Freak Mode is American purveyor of leftfield, experimental pop Dorian Electra who returns with their new single, the biblical referencing Sodom & Gomorrah.

Bringing classic early 2000s pop sounds kicking and screaming into 2023, Sodom & Gomorrah pairs classic production with distorted guitars, in classic Dorian genre-fusing ways.

Speaking about her new single, Electra explains: “Sodom & Gomorrah is the biblical story of two cities that were so sinful that God destroyed them. The word Sodomy - derived from this story - has often been used to oppress queer people, so I wanted to reclaim it in a bratty, slutty, sexy song. Musically, I was inspired by the pop I grew up on (Britney Spears, Missy Elliot), but with a modern twist, and heavy guitars.”

The single comes alongside a typically wild music video that sees Electra move from an ancient castle setting to a modern shop setting, with backup dancers in tow all the while.
