Previously going under the name Female, Darcy Thornycroft is reborn as Connor, and Around You feat. Krue is the telling first taste of what promises to be a special project. Linking up with the German vocalist, with whom Thornycroft connected online late last year, Around You is a deep, meditative and engrossing piece of electronica, densely layered and atmospheric. According to Krue, the track "is about a really deep connection to a person you've just met that you don't really know. It feels like finding home in that person, but on the other hand they are still a stranger.”
With the new project name comes a renewed focus on a more personal take on production for Thornycroft, and Around You is a beautiful first step ahead of an EP, due later this year.
