Newcomer Jesse Tallis offers smooth new release, Unlovable

Could Melbourne unearth its own James Blake?

Relatively unknown Melbourne artist Jesse Tallis has been slowly toiling away behind the scenes from his obscure anonymity, only briefly seeing some attention for previous singles New Love and Fool 4 U, and yet otherwise seeming to return to the mysterious persona from which Tallis crafts his art. Now, the young Victorian has unveiled a new dreamy R&B, electronic fused effort in Unlovable.

Recalling the talents of similar genre jugglers James Blake, Bon Iver and How to Dress Well, while Tallis may now be somewhat unknown and retain his relative anonymity, it stands to reason that if the artist continues to improve from this latest release, sky may yet be the limit for the youngster. Defining the image of a hidden gem, hear Jesse Tallis' Unlovable below.
