Your summer nostalgia starts today with Almond Soy’s video for their new single, Fine

The rosy-cheeked Perth band embrace summer, rooftop beers, and the north-of-the-River bubble in their new clip.

Words by Dave Gardiner.

Dianella indie-pop band Almond Soy know how to enjoy a summer – it’s about mates, getting on the beers, chasing the good vibes and reflecting the stoke on to everyone around you. Their single, Fine, captures that feeling that you get when you reflect on those good times as the sun goes down on a Sunday… but so keen for what the next week of summer holds for you and your friends. The charm in their debut music video, shot by Jesse Cummings, lies in you knowing for a fact that if they never decided to make a band (which would be a waste of SUCH a top band name) they’d be doing the exact same stuff as just mates – jams, hangs, beers, repeat.

Formed in late 2016, the fresh-faced Almond Soy recorded this single in Bunbury for their debut EP, due to come out before the band takes to the east coast later in the year. If you wanna catch their addictive melodies, dark undertones and infectious grins around Perth, check a couple of live dates down the bottom:
