Iconic WA artist announces her new album Flood in fine style with mesmerising new single

Recently popping up in recorded form again with her feature on Methyl Ethel’s Proof, our appetites for some new Stella Donnelly sounds had well and truly been whetted and today that wish is granted in the form of brilliant new single Lungs.

After dropping her groundbreaking debut full-length Beware of the Dogs in 2019, a record that saw her tour the world and become a global indie superstar, the news of not just a dope new single but a full-length on the way is all the more exciting, with Donnelly’s sophomore LP Flood (produced by Anna Laverty and Jake Webb) set for an August 26 release.

Donnelly expands on the inspiration for Lungs, saying . “I do love observing human dynamics. Dynamics between old best friends, or dynamics between housemates, or a relationship where the two people are broken up and haven’t spoken in years. I like getting into the mind of someone who we’ve all been at some point.”
