Premiere: Little Guilt - Slow Burn

Hear the Mandurah-based indie-pop group’s latest uplifting and catchy single ahead of tomorrow's official release.

Hailing from Mandurah Western Australia comes the fresh-faced indie-pop group Little Guilt who made their debut last year with their dreamy track Old, followed by their most recent up-beat tune Mum’s Advice which has seen them feature on Spotify’s Broad Chords' and 'Fresh Finds AU & NZ' playlists in addition to some much deserved love over on triple j unearthed. Today we get an early listen of their latest single Slow Burn as it premieres ahead of its official release tomorrow (Friday, May 13).

Taking cues from the likes of Middle Kids, Ball Park Music, and Stella Donnelly, Little Guit harvest those bright moments in life and craft them into sonic delights. Slow Burn is no exception to this, the band utilising acoustic guitar, the pitter-patter of keyboards, melodic bass lines, sweet vocal harmonies, and beats that alternate in rhythm and speed to create a catchy track full of charm. On the inspiration behind the song, the band shares “It's about liking someone, them liking you, but not realising it yet. Being trapped in a sort of romantic limbo where you know this could blossom into something awesome, but the other person is still coming to terms with this. It's waiting for them to get to your level of obsession.”

Be sure to give Little Guilt’s Slow Burn a listen now, as it premieres today on Pilerats.
