Hot on the heels of previous single Talking To Yourself last month, Lewis Coleman returns with the second single from his forthcoming album, the charming, kaleidoscopic indie pop sounds of Indigo, which alongside its music video is premiering on Pilerats today.
Co-produced with Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music), Indigo sees Coleman navigating topics of lost and changing relationships, self-preservation and “those nuanced worlds we find ourselves in between wanting the best for someone while still wanting them around”. Meanwhile, the music video by Jack Ralph bring’s the song’s title to life, with Coleman’s vision for the clip to augment the feeling of coming home after a long day and letting the colours of the day wash over you in pensive moods.
Speaking on his new single, Coleman explains “Indigo is a nuanced colour, its own thing between blue and violet in the rainbow, and in my relationships and love for people I often find myself taking a nuanced path when that relationship changes, wanting the best for them, but still wanting them around”.
Indigo comes ahead of Coleman’s new album Offline, set for an October 27 release:
