Introducing Crocodylus and their bustling new single, Christian Syrups

Bringing rowdy live performances and cracking garage-rock to a d-floor near you.

Crocodylus are rapidly emerging trio out of Sydney quickly gaining a reputation for intense live shows that match the ferocity of their good-time garage/surf rock. High school pals Stephen Sacco, Josh Williams and Mikel Salvador have only been doing the Crocodylus thing for a hot minute, but have already supported a host of great Aussie rock acts, and their latest single, Christian Syrups, is a belter. Get to know 'em a little better, below:

Tell us about about yourselves?

Hello I'm Josh, I'm 20 years old work as a gardener and enjoy ski ball.

Hello I'm Steve, Stone Cold Steve Austin is my dad and I'm shit at guitar hero.

Hello I'm Mikel. DRUMS.

What kinda tunes we talkin’?

Fast-paced, sweaty garage jelly.

Production/writing process:

We had all the songs ready to go and got to demo the songs with Pencil from The Ruminaters. We have been playing these songs live already for a while besides one new one. We were lucky enough to record with Owen from Straight Arrows, which was a dream.

Can you tell us about your new single, Christian Syrups?

People have been asking what it means, and it's funny to hear people's interpretations of it. Someone asked if it was about red wine but it's a character we made up that wants to take over the world and we wanna be a part of it but he won't let us. And we got the name because our friend's name rhymes with it, but we will keep that confidential.

Any shows coming up?

Single launch for Christian Syrups is 1st of September at Waywards in Newtown, Sounds Of The Suburbs is on September 3 and King Street Crawl on September 10 at Leadbelly - and all of them are with some killer bands!

What’s the rest of the year have in store?

We will release another single, hopefully get round to doing some film clips and bring Christian to life. Then gonna tour the EP all over the east coast in November/December.

Where can we hear more of your music?

On our Tinder profiles.
