Video Premiere: HOLiDAY - WOA

Byron Bay-based alt-roc/indie-pop quartet follow-up their addictive new single with a colourfully choreographed music video - take a first watch

Currently on tour around the UK and Ireland and after having just dropped their soaring new single WOA, HOLiDAY are following it up with a vibrant & playful music video, premiering on Pilerats today.

Inspired by what it means to be an artist, dealing with social pressures and celebrating individualism, WOA incorporates lost lyrics originally written in 2016 and rediscovered a few years later, with the song coming together from 2020 to 2022, featuring individual contributions from all four members - Meg Hitchcock, Jesse Higgs, Michael Townsend and Savannah Higgs.

The result is an upper tempo, atmospheric affair, pairing a driving rhythm section with huge guitar hooks and soaring vocals, with WOA co-produced by Adrian Breakspear (Gang Of Youths, Amy Shark).

Meanwhile, the video for WOA sees the band taking a fun, DIY approach, teaming up with Director Meg Hitchcock and Director of Photography Kimi Brown. The result is a fun & playful video, inspired by the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers and with nods to Confidence Man that sees the band dressed in striking colourful suits while performing choreographed dance moves in Mullumbimby paddocks and around Byron Bay.

Speaking on the video, lead vocalist Meg Hitchcock explains "Overall, it's our 'cheers to not taking things too seriously' The colourful and playful nature of the video reflects our intention to embrace the joyous side of music and art, despite its pressure and challenges.
