Premiere: Max Quinn takes on depression with his typical fervour on new single, Serotonin
The official release coincides with World Mental Health Day on October 10.
At a time when mental health becomes an increasingly important part of the national conversation (particularly - and thankfully - within music industry circles), Max Quinn is here to let you know you've got an ally in him. A short-but-very-sweet couple of minutes of punk-rock'n'roll, Serotonin is the Sydney-based artist's new single, one about depression, suicide, self-care and the difficult path to recovery: "It’s about turning over every rock that you can find in search of a reason to continue, and over time, finding heaps of them. It’s about trying really hard to navigate out of that maze, and learning to take care of yourself in the process."
Delivered with a raw, messy honesty perfectly emblematic of the topic which it tackles, Quinn's witty lyricism on Serotonin shines, and only enhances his status as one of Australia's most exciting young voices. Take a listen below ahead of its offical release on World Mental Health Day tomorrow (October 10), and keep your eyes peeled for launch show news incoming.
