Listen: Lykke Li - NO HOTEL

A new delicate and stripped back release from the alt-pop icon.

Swedish alt-pop singer-songwriter Lykke Li is an artist who needs little introduction. Since her breakthrough album of 2008 Youth Novels, she’s been an iconic staple in music, crafting sonically beautiful stories of love and pain and adapting her sound and style to create truly remarkable releases. For the first time in two years comes a new single NO HOTEL, a raw and emotive tune that is out today.

Written and produced with long term collaborator Björn Yttling, NO HOTEL is a delicately raw sounding release with a calm and clear nature. Stripped back to reverb-drenched guitar plucks, and beautifully haunting vocals, the track cradles you in warm production and atmospheric harmonies. As Lykke Li introduces us to a new era of sounds, she invites us to "step inside my love addiction" explaining that the single encapsulates “the pain generated by the perpetual cycle of compulsive intimacy into a sound”.

Out now, be sure to soak in the warm rays of sunshine that NO HOTEL radiates below.
