BIGSOUND's festival line-up features the who's who of the Australian next-gen

BIGSOUND's festival line-up features the who's who of the Australian next-gen

With a list of acts spanning from A. Swayze & The Ghosts to Yù Yī, the four-day Brisbane conference is staked from top to bottom.

Last month came the first announcement of speaking talent for this year's BIGSOUND event – a four-day conference and music festival held annually in Brisbane. From September 4th to September 7th, Brisbane's Fortitude Valley will host a whole hoard of industry figures and favourites, including reps for Vinyl Me, Please, Domino Records, C3 Management, Paradigm Touring Company and even Dave Grohl's mother Virginia Grohl, who is giving one of two announced keynotes about raising one of rock music's biggest stars.

Now, the music line-up side of things has arrived and in summary – it's huge. It basically features every Australian act labelled as the "next big thing" or the "next generation", spanning across basically every popular genre. There's a couple of our personal favs on there too, such as CLYPSO, CXLOE, Eilish Gilligan, Eliott, Genesis Owusu, Good Doogs, GRAACE, JEFFE, Kaiit, Kota Banks, Kult Kyss, Kwame, Mane, Moaning Lisa, Mookhi, Paces, SŸDE, T$oko, Two People and Tyne-James Organ, plus a bunch of other legends.

This year's event is already looking huge, but there's also last year's $100,000 Levi’s Music Prize making a return, which so far, has resulted in $25,000 each for Stella Donnelly, Alex Lahey and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever - with more winners to come, including 2018 winners. Also, there are another casual 100 acts or so to come – no biggie.

Check out the full list of music talent below, and for more information, tickets, and more, check out the BIGSOUND WEBSITE.
