Willaris. K drops the vid to Alchemy and releases two new singles

Australia's biggest electronic break-out for 2017 continues his reign.

After keeping quiet since the release of his breakout single Alchemy, we're currently drowning in Willaris. K. Last week, he released a brooding remix of Exhibitionist's Hands, and today he returns with two new singles, a video for his stunning debut single, and a couple of sneaky AU/NZ dates throughout the rest of the year. The singles arrive in the form of a video trilogy with his leading debut, with the Yeoseop Yoon-directed short film shot over three days in the New South Wales countryside. The producer says that the trilogy is built to represent change and transformation, particularly highlighting Willaris. K's transformation as a songwriter and producer. "Doür Nights, as represented in the film is the feeling of that moment you let go of whatever it may be holding you back. It has come through many forms and it's definitely taken the longest out of any other track to finish," Willaris says in a statement. "River Song is basically a live, one take iPhone recording. You can actually hear me whisper to myself 'Don't fuck it up' in there somewhere. It is the turning point emotionally in the video."

The two singles stand up on their own too, with both Doür Nights and River Song highlighting Willaris. K's impeccable craft for songwriting but in two very different ways. Doür Nights is a dark, stomping banger reminiscent of Alchemy, with thick layers of synth combining with gritty bass kicks and playful, airy vocal samples which cut through the heaving single to add a touch of light relief. River Song on the other hand is far tamer and subdued, with a soft piano melody blending together with brooding, tone-setting chords to give us a track which continues Willaris. K's haunting sound, but in a way more traditional and easy.
