Premiere: Step into the psych-tronic world of TIMI TEMPLE and his swirling new single

What Are We Waiting For brings some MGMT / Tame Impala vibes in a tune with a message.

If you've seen Kilter perform live recently, there's a good chance you've already seen TIMI TEMPLE, real name Timothy Lockwood, performing live on stage. Joining the Aussie electro-percussion star on stage for some serious guitar shredding, Lockwood launched the TIMI TEMPLE project earlier this year, and we're starting to see what he's got tucked away. And turns out that is some wonderfully effervescent psychedelic electronica, with new single What Are We Waiting For bringing to mind the likes of MGMT, Tame Impala, The Flaming Lips and more. Not only does it sound great, Lockwood reveals the song comes with a particular message, targeted towards thsoe suffering with anxiety: "I wrote this song as a call to action for peers of mine suffering from depression and anxiety, something that is all too prevalent in our industry, to be brave and face their fears."

Although this is a project only in its infancy, we reckon TIMI TEMPLE is definitely onto something, and we're looking forward to some repeat plays on What Are We Waiting For ahead of whatever comes next:
