Premiere: RIVAH knocks it out the park with new single, Cheerleader
Despite being only a few singles deep into her career, the Brisbane-based pop musician is already pushing boundaries.

After 2017's Untame and May's Transitional Love, Brisbane-based pop musician RIVAH is back, hitting it out the park with another sensational single titled Cheerleader. Produced by Jesse Porsches, Cheerleader is a bright and confident pop single driven by a thick production rich with thick bass and hazy synth, RIVAH's vocals cutting through the airy melodies underneath with a slick, polished feeling that really feels beyond her years. "I was getting my head around what the song was about and how to capture it," she says on the single. "I wanted to write a love song that wasn’t about romantic love. I guess I’m singing what I want to hear said to me."
It's the latest taste from an upcoming debut EP set for release in September though Inertia, and with Cheerleader being just the start, we're incredibly keen to see what the rest of the year brings from one of Australia's most exciting names. Dive into the track below:
