MUTO signs to Of Leisure, releases new single This Girl

Soothing vocals, soft synth and key melodies and crisp percussion combine to make MUTO's debut single one of the best debuts in years.

When we chatted to Muto last year, he had just started to get some ideas flowing for the release of his debut EP. Now, twelve months later, the producer is getting that little bit closer with the announcement that he's signed to Sydney legends Of Leisure and released This Girl, a new single featuring vocals from friend M. Maggie. The first taste of the upcoming EP, The Girl sees MUTO explore a soothing, synth-heavy electronic sound, with the touch of New York vocalist M. Maggie's comforting vocals creating a well polished, well produced piece of work. Sporting a melody laden with sample cuts and loops, This Girl is one of the strongest debuts to come out of Australia for a long time, a debut we can't wait to see bloom into a full EP this year.
