Meet RALPH and her new disco-pop collaboration with The Darcys, Screenplay

Lovers of pop music, we think you’re going to love the Toronto singer/ songwriter.

After featuring her re-imaginative cover of Candi Stanton’s ‘70s hit Young Hearts Run Free in an earlier edition of our Digging For Diamonds segment, Toronto pop singer/ songwriter RALPH yesterday released a new song titled Screenplay. A collaboration with fellow Toronto natives The Darcys, Screenplay is a wallowing slow-jam about holding back the truths from your ex. Screenplay sees a simple drum loop backed by a delicate retro synth that paves the way for both Canadian acts sharing vocal duties. Through the guiding sounds of ‘80s disco and the pop flair that both RALPH and The Darcys bring to their music, think similar to RALPH’s track Busy Man (a song from her self-titled six-track 2017 debut EP).
