Premiere: Listen to Bloom, a delicate, enticing new single from Sydney's Chymes

The electro-pop twosome are launching it this Friday at World Bar.

Sydney-based duo Chymes have unveiled the first taste of their upcoming EP release due later this year with new single, Bloom. A track about self-exploration and saving some of your energy from the people who hold us back, it's another winning track from the combination of producer Cameron Taylor and singer/songwriter Kiersten Nyman. The obvious comparison for the duo would be Purity Ring, but compared to the bombast of that much-loved Canadian duo, Chymes feels more delicate and intimate, displaying a restraint that is incredibly alluring.

And Bloom captures the essence of the duo's restraint to perfection - Nyman's soft vocals ramp up only when they need to, while Taylor's production creates a warm vibe where it could so easily feel cold and distant. It's the first new music since their debut EP Grow last year, and has us highly anticipating its follow-up. It's out officially this Friday, and if you're in Sydney you can see them launch it at World Bar (more info HERE).
