Anna Of The North share dreamy new track, Someone

The Australia-bound electro-pop duo also features on Tyler, The Creator’s new song with Frank Ocean 911 / Mr. Lonely.

Still two months away, the month of September is shaping up nicely for some cracking new music. One release that we are highly anticipating comes courtesy of one of the world’s hottest electro-pop acts, Anna Of The North. The Norwegian pop duo are due to finally release their debut record titled Lovers on September 8th and all the previews thus far have our eyes lit with excitement. From Oslo, the upbeat, synth-heavy cut (think CHVRCHES) dedicated to their hometown, to the album’s title track Lovers, arguably their best piece of material date (one that is certainly helping the duo finally gain some much-needed mainstream traction), the album appears to bear yet another synth-heavy cut with the duo sharing a new track titled SomeoneChanneling synths that twinkle like a dream, Someone is a woozy, slow dancer that sounds like it was plucked from the late 80s. Yet again, another showcase of Anna’s delicate vocal work, the dreamy synths sway around a warm guitar riff and an upbeat drum pattern. Someone isn’t the only piece of new music from Anna Of The North, with Anna Lotterud also appearing on vocals on Tyler, The Creator’s new song that also features Frank Ocean 911 / Mr. Lonley.

It’s exciting times for fans of Anna Of The North, especially for us down-under with the duo not only set to appear at the Sunshine Coast’s inaugural Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival but the news they are also doing two solo shows across Sydney and Melbourne in August whilst here. As they gear up for the release of their debut album, expect to hear both their new and older material (such as Baby, Us, The Dreamer). Check out the dates below:
