Golden Vessel drops new mega collab BIGBRIGHT, announces Aus tour
The Brisbane-based musician continues to level up, this time joined by an all-star cast - Elkkle, E^ST and DUCKWRTH.
We've been with Golden Vessel since basically day dot, throwing love his way ever since he emerged back in 2015/2016 with a couple of big collaborations - think along the lines of Tiana Khasi, OKBADLANDS, Woodes and Lastlings. Over the past few years, we've watched him grow and evolve as a musician, transforming himself from another one of those niche, indie-electronica Australian acts to the multi-genre collaborative force he is now, with recent singles featuring Emerson Leif and Mallrat doing nothing but solidifying this as he branches out into international waters having already triumphed in Australia. His latest single, BIGBRIGHT, is the most obvious sign of his growth thus far, seeing Golden Vessel teaming up with old collaborative pal Elkkle and some new names - Australian pop force E^ST and rising US rapper DUCKWRTH - for a slick and refined single that presents a more upbeat take on his woozy sound injected by influences in hip-hop and pop music.
The result of a US writing trip late last year, BIGBRIGHT find Golden Vessel combine his chiming melodies with thick bass kicks and snapping percussion, forming the perfect, hip-hop-infused production for Elkkle, E^ST, DUCKWRTH and Golden Vessel himself to swoon over the top. DUCKWRTH's energetic verse further flames this hip-hop spark, while E^ST's more commercial touch, Elkkle's quick-paced vocal and Golden Vessel's smooth croon give the single a versatile and dynamic edge that makes it perfect for anyone. Arriving with a colourful video clip, the single really cements the collaborative ethos Golden Vessel prides in his music, with the whole team flying over to Melbourne for the clip's filming. "For the video, I flew everyone to Melbourne and we shot for four days with my friends 24.works," he says on the video. "It was the first time that anyone on the track had met each other, and while four days was maybe overkill, we had such a fun time and we wanted to make it as good as possible. I wanted everyone to be in their own unique locations alone singing their verse, and then at the end of the video we all come together for one big scene as friends. I want Golden Vessel to be a very collaborative project between myself & my friends, so I loved the idea of having everyone finally in the same room at the end of the song dancing."
Additionally, the single arrives with a national tour for Golden Vessel, which will see him trot around the country this November with dates in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Find the dates below, and grab tickets HERE.
