FBi Radio's Adi Toohey shares her favourite Boiler Room sessions

Sydney's Adi Toohey is one of the most respected and admired names in Australian electronic music, showcasing her on-the-pulse knowledge of Australian music every week in FBi Radio's influential Saturday Sunset slot, and throwing down DJ sets in support of electronic's best. Late last week brought news that Adi would be DJing at Boiler Room's long-awaited return down under, with the esteemed party-throwing crew teaming up with Samsung Galaxy S8 to transform a Sydney warehouse into an audio-visual wonderland, with acts like Australian staples Flight Facilities (in DJ form), Kllo and Brooklyn's Jacques Renault coming along for the ride. Ahead of the party this Sunday (click through the poster at the bottom of this article to RSVP), we managed to get Adi Toohey to demonstrate her aforementioned electronic music knowledge by selecting some of her favourite Boiler Room sessions thus far, including gems such as DJ EZ's infamous RBMA set and a couple of under-rated pearlers to check out too.

Simon Caldwell Sydney Daytime DJ Set:

Kicking off the list with an Aussie number, and the only Boiler Room I’ve ever watched on the livestream. Sydney’s godfather of house Simon Caldwell showcases his mastery of the extended blend with a few classic a cappellas thrown in for good measure. The real showstopper, however, is the appearance of local hero Kato around the 36-minute mark dressed only in his infamous tune rag.

Pender Street Steppers & Hashman Deejay Boiler Room x Dekmantel DJ Set

A happy-go-lucky Boiler Room of exclusively Canadian content from the Mood Hut crew. Bonus points go to Hashman Deejay for having some of the best moves in the game, and to Jack J on the mic giving shouts out to Italy and rocking a tucked in shirt.

DJ EZ Boiler Room x RBMA London DJ Set

The king of UKG delivering a masterclass in tricky mixing. One YouTuber calls for EZ to be knighted and I have to agree after watching what goes down at 14 minutes.
