Get hyped for Lido's debut album with Murder, a new single

Everything, Lido's debut album, is out October 7th worldwide.

Whilst the first half of 2016 has been littered with some absolutely stellar electronic albums (hey Baauer, RÜFÜS and Kaytranada), the second half is shaping up to be just as good, if not better. Included in this list of highly-hyped forthcoming albums is Everything, the debut album of Norwegian master-of-everything-musical Lido. Originally announced back in April with the release of the pop-leaning first single Crazy, the build-up to Everything has been pretty damn quiet, albeit a couple of remixes released a few months back. Today however, with only two weeks to go until the album's release, this has changed. Murder, the album's second single, has finally arrived after being teased in his sets over the past year, with Lido returning to his more instrumental-flavoured roots that he explored in 2014's I Love You EP and many of his world-class remixes. Opening with a ripping chopped vocal line that builds throughout the song's duration, Murder grows and grows, adding layers on layers of percussion and quirky sampling above the song's main vocal melody as the track continues. After a stripped-back vocal bridge around halfway through, Lido gives it one last push with a climactic explosion of synth and percussion, which disappears as quickly as it arrives in favour of a beautiful orchestral outro. Listen to the track below, which joins Crazy on Lido's forthcoming debut LP Everything, which will be released on October 7th.
