Elk Road and LDRU link up for a heavy new collaboration, Intimate

The two Australian electronic powerhouses team up for a club-ready new banger.

Elk Road and LDRU are two of Australian electronic's finest names separately, so the unexpected news that they've teamed up for a new collaboration has us frothing at the mouth. Intimate is the final result of this partnership, and let's be honest here - it's a huge banger that'll no doubt tear up the clubs in the months to come. Intimate is large and heavy, bringing together quick-firing synth, crisp percussion claps and a catchy vocal sample for the single's opening build, which quickly makes way for a warped, bass-heavy breakdown which is one of this year's finest, albeit most minimalistic drops. Speaking to Stoney Roads with the single's premiere, Elk Road mentions that the collaboration has been a relatively long time in the making, mainly due to the heavy touring schedules of both Elk Road and LDRU. "LDRU and I wanted a super, vibey trap tune that brought in elements of old and new," he says. "We’ve been working on it for over a year now, on and off as we’ve both been touring. We are really proud to get the finished version out, hope you all enjoy!” Listen to the collab below:
