Premiere: Watch a live swirling live recording of The Tapes performing You Know It's Real

The soundtrack to your summer has well and truly arrived.

We've been singing the praises of Sydney duo The Tapes since their first single right up until their second, so it goes without saying we're excited for the release of their debut EP this Friday 11 November. Consisting of Mickey Kojak and Andrew Grant from dreamy electronic outfit La Mar, they've combined for an incredibly pleasing amalgamation of bands like Phoenix, LCD Soundsytem and Two Door Cinema Club - to name a few (borrowed that from our last post, soz).

And when you're keenly following a band from the start, it's nice when you get to premiere something of theres not long after. And so we're here today to give you a look into what to expect from The Tapes' live experience thanks to this dope video from Sydney visual kings Yeahsure. Recreating their sound live with the help of Julian Sudek (World Champion) on drums and Craig Willson (Emma Louise) on guitar, it makes for an tantalising insight into what to expect when The Tapes start playing shows.

Fortunately, you won't have to wait long to experience it (if you live in Sydney), as they're launching the new EP this Thursday at the Civic Underground (more info HERE). You can also catch them when they join Electronic Music Conference's EMC Play, November 30.
