Premiere: Port Royal search for love in Don't You Forget About Me clip

Catch the Brisbane rock four-piece on tour with dates all the way through until May.

We've found a whole lot of love in Brisbane rockers Port Royal over the years, with the four-piece going from strength to strength with every release over the last two years or so, capped off with a brilliant new EP, Love Passion Satisfaction, last year. As a result, they've become one of the most followed and toured bands on the local market, with their twangy, Brit-Pop-esque-infused sound often found travelling the country in extensive, months-spanning tours including one off the back of their latest single, Don't You Forget About Me, which will take them through the entire east coast with dates stretching from early February to May. In the lead up to the tour, which we'll come back to in a minute, the band have dropped the video for Don't You Forget About Me, fleshing out the single's hazy, romantic themes with a clip that takes them on the search for love.

Premiering today, Don't You Forget About Me's video clip unites the single's summer-soaked, indie-rock feeling with romantic visuals that see the band attempt to find love at a speed dating party, which really matches the band's uplifting sound perfectly. "The themes and aesthetic of the song were taken to a whole new level in this clip and I think it conveys a beautiful vision of positivity and romance," says lead vocalist Lawson Doyle on the video, which was worked on with director Julian Squared. "The incredible team we had behind the Don't You Forget About Me music video meant every facet was treated with the upmost care and time. From Ashleigh in the art department to Sophie in the makeup, assistant director Sisi Stringer and Julian Squared's ability to create a vision was quite incredible."
