Ali Barter, noted legend, links up with Gift Box to provide tampons for those in need

And you'll be able to join the cause by heading to a gig on her One Foot In The Tour shows.

Ali Barter is having an absolute cracker year, already unleashing her fantastic debut album and rocking around the country on a huge tour to celebrate, she's already gearing up for what will now be her biggest tour to date. Not content with just having a great year herself, she just announced she's linking up with Saskia Hamplele - founder of a startup called Gift Box, to Help A Sister Out. Gift Box is the world's first one-for-one organic tampon brand which aims to help the estimated 46K homeless women around Australia who struggle with sanitary care.

Ali Barter will be selling limited edition tea towels at shows on the upcoming tour, featuring a design by tattoo artist/illustrator Lily Gloria. “We all get our damn periods so I love that if I buy a box of tampons from Gift Box Organic, it means someone more in need than me gets one too. It's important that all women have access to sanitary care, and tampons are, for many, non-negotiable,” says Ali, with Saskia adding, "Ali's generous contribution will not only provide many more homeless women with tampons, it also adds to the conversation of women's lack of access to sanitary products and will help reach a wider audience for this commonly overlooked issue."

Not that you needed any more reason to head along to Ali Barter's upcoming tour, but hey a new tea towel and helping people out is a pretty bloody good one. Check the dates below.
