RTRFM Launches New W.A. Record Label Podcast Series

Across eight episodes, the series will explore some of the state’s finest contemporary labels, covering a wide range of sounds and genres

Ever the champions of Western Australian music, beloved community radio station RTRFM today announces their next celebration of sandgroper sounds in the form of new podcast First Pressing.

Across eight episodes, RTRFM Out To Lunch presenter, musician, label boss and all around local legend Mark Neal will be sitting down with the people behind some of W.A’s best current labels, including the likes of Stock Records, Red Ember Records, Tone City Records, Midnight Elevator and more.

RTRFM’s music director Matt Perret says “Sharing the unique stories of the WA-based labels that uplift and amplify the voices of local  artists is essential and exciting and reveals the amount of selfless work so many members of  the WA music community undertake to help others.”

Episode one with Ray Grenfell (Last Quokka, Selfless Orchestra), the brains behind Stock Records, is out today and see below for a list of all labels and episodes!
