It's actually happening - Rick & Morty's season three release date has been announced

The cult TV show's long-awaited third season will premiere on Adult Swim July 30.

After Adult Swim capitalised on our collective thirst for Rick & Morty's season three by somehow reverse-pranking us with the season's first episode on April Fool's Day, it's just been announced that the long-awaited third season will finally kick off this time next month - July 30, to be exact. The whereabouts of the third season has been a question on everyone's minds for what seems like bloody ages now, with some pretty funky rumours going around to exactly why the show has taken so long to return. Watch the season's trailer via Adult Swim below, and enjoy those sleep-filled nights knowing that the every single copy of the season hasn't accidentally been deleted in a freak accident and that the next episode will be in our hands in T-minus 30 days.
