Entering the warmer months down under means many things to music lovers, including every live music fans favourite - festival season, with today a new one for your calendar in the form of First & Forever, the be held at The Gathering Place, Hanging Rock on Sunday 27 November.

A joint collaboration between Mushroom Group, the Victorian Government and Bad Apples Music, the line-up was curated with Bad Apples Music founder, rapper and author Briggs (with a little help from his mate Paul Kelly), the artists have been hand-picked to “represent the myriad forms and genres through which First Nations culture continues to evolve, a dizzying procession of acts interwoven in short, uninterrupted sets.

The festival will be a family friendly, picnic-style affair, with the main stage located at the foot of the awe-inspiring, majestical natural beauty of Hanging Rock, all the more fitting that a venue that previously hosted international artists will now feature an all First Nations line-up, including the likes of Baker Boy, Budjerah, Jessica Mauboy, King Stingray, Sycco, Thelma Plum and many more (check the full artist list here).
