Check out the freshly announced WAMAwards nominees for 2016

Tired Lion, Koi Child and Hideous Sun Demon amongst the talent in line for awards.

Today has seen the unveiling of the full list of nominees for this year's WAMAwards, and there's a tonne of talent to sift through before you make a call on how you'll be voting. Grunge powerhouse Tired Lion lead the charge with six nominations, including Most Popular Act, Best Rock Act and Best Single. Following closely are Pilerats Records' own jazz-rap lords Koi Child (five noms) and psych-punk mind melters Hideous Sun Demon (four). Other nominees include charming rockers Verge Collection, up and coming indie-pop outfit Ah Trees and the mighty Tame Impala. The WAMAwards Party has also been announced, featuring live performances from Lucy Peach, Phil Walley-Stack and Psychadelic Porn Crumpets, and taking place at the Gate One Theatre at Claremont Showgrounds on Thursday, November 3.
