BIGSOUND Drops Huge 2023 Artist Lineup

Over 140 artists will take to Fortitude Valley this September for the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest music industry event

After revealing their first round of speakers for the 2023 BIGSOUND conference, today the festival has unveiled the artist lineup for the year and, as usual, they have more than delivered, with over 140 artists showcasing their live chops at this year's event, taking place from September 5 to Seeptember 8 in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley.

While 141 artists is a mammoth number on its own, the programming of BIGSOUND becomes all the more impressive when you find out that over 1,300 applications were lodged to play this year's festival - see below for the full lineup.

Bigsound Co-Programming Lead and Sunroom Co-Director Ruby-Jean McCabe explains “Once again this year we had the unenviable task of reading, listening to and enjoying several thousand BIGSOUND applications from all over the country and world. While this is definitely our favourite time of the year, because we get to listen to so much amazing music, it can be our least favourite as well. As bookers we have to make the hard decision of whittling down these acts which felt like an impossible task given the talent in front of us!

We feel this year’s lineup is one of the strongest we’ve ever seen showcase at BIGSOUND, which makes the task harder than ever before. The future of music in Australia is continuing on its upward trajectory and with this lineup, it’s obvious it will continue to do so.
