Listen to The Season, a grimy new tune from Perth hip hop crew Tone Youth

A big colab from some WA hip hop young guns.

Words by Jackson Lavell-Lee.

Perth hip hop crew Tone Youth have dropped a new single with a triple collaboration. The Season is a slow bpm, lyric-based banger with some low-key winter party vibes. It’s the first time One Day Sundays regular DJ and beat maker Jimmy Drones is featured via vocals with the English artist demonstrating his wordplay in the middle verse. Producer Skyy turns up with some Jamaican rude boy samples and synths setting up some dope hip hop drops for each verse. S.O.X. and Rob Delirious bring their usual battle, boom bap style lyrics with the track a real head banger for hip hop fans who prefer metaphors to mumble rap.

Take a listen below, and catch them supporting Sydney homies Spit Syndicate and Jackie Onassis at Jack Rabbit Slim's THIS SATURDAY.
