This year has seen a couple of releases so far for Boorloo/Perth-based rapper-songwriter Arno Faraji, sharing the news today that singles On The Move, Gravity, and his most recent (out today) Black Sunday will be part of a forthcoming mixtape due November 18th titled RETURN TO RAJI

With a comforting pitter patter of keys, Black Sunday grows into a sensationally smooth hip-hop track with a sizzling beat, flourishes of horns, and Arno’s effortlessly flows. On the release the 2017 triple j unearthed winner shares "Black Sunday is a track that had me reflecting and thinking about identity, specifically how I came to be. Within that reflection, I also thought about ‘placement’, I thought about growing up out here in Australia with my native cultural context, getting into music and art as more than a hobby and feeling the pressures of how that’s looked at in some POC migrant families.”

With the highly anticipated mixtapes release imminent, be sure to get across some of Arno Faraji’s most revealing and experimental work yet with Black Sunday below.

Arno Faraji’s debut mixtape RETURN TO RAJI is out November 18th via The Orchard.
