Boorloo-based producer drops her debut single of bouncy, spaced out hip-hop featuring emerging MC CHISEKO on vox

Having DJed around Perth for the last five years while honing her skills as a producer (that we heard earlier this year when we premiered her production for Jewel Owusu), today NAMESAKE releases her debut single, the hip-hop and dance music fusing WASTE NO TIME featuring Pilerats fave CHISEKO spitting bars about the “existential angst that comes with being an artist in the most isolated city in the world”.

Drawing on elements of hip hop, r&b and all manner of dance music genres, NAMESAKE’s productions are inspired by the likes of Kaytranada, Mura Masa and Tom Misch, influences that shine through the off-kilter production of WASTE NO TIME

Give WASTE NO TIME a spin today and keep your eyes (and ears) peeled for more NAMESAKE music, both solo and collaborative, coming soon.
