Childish Gambino returns with two new singles, new video

The US rapper drops a SZA-featuring vid for This Is America, and a currently untitled new song.

After surprising the world with his 2016 LP Awaken My Love, Childish Gambino is back in action – and he's not messing around. Hosting AND performing on Saturday Night Live tonight, Gambino used the opportunity to premiere two new singles – This Is America, which arrives with a wild, SZA-featuring video clip, and another currently untitled single. This Is America goes from 0 to 100 pretty damn quickly, with Childish Gambino opening the single with a quirky dance and a soulful, guitar-backed verse which quickly heats up with a ringing gunshot in the video. Be warned, it's pretty intense stuff, but it's also a very good video clip worth a watch.

The other song premiered is a track perhaps titled Saturday, which sees Childish Gambino turn to a more tropical, relaxed sound in comparison to the heat of This Is America. Check out his performance of the track on SNL HERE while we wait for the official release (hopefully) soon.
