We bring back our famous text message interviews for the poster child of iOS himself - UV Boi فوق بنفسجي

Since seemingly appearing out of nowhere some two years ago with Aquatic and a flip of Soulja Boi's Crank Dat, Brisbane-based producer UV Boi فوق بنفسجي has been impossible to stop. Over the past two years, he's collaborated with Ryan Hemsworth, Young Franco and Brasstracks, supported SOPHIE, Lido, Flosstradamus and Yung Lean (to name a few), and copped awards such as triple j Unearthed's 'Artist of the Year' for his unique, all-original productions. Just the other day, arrived UV Boi فوق بنفسجي's biggest achievement to date - the release of his debut, eight-track EP, L-UV. From the opening introduction to the soft-spoken vocals of MTNS on Show You (brand new video for that one below) to the two-part epic Running Out Of TimeL-UV is an incredible insight into UV Boi فوق بنفسجي's diverse productions and a great way to introduce yourself to the producer if you're yet to - in which case with a looming tour alongside Collarbones and Gill Bates, there's no better time to acquaint yourself than now.

In celebration of the EP's release (which you can stream in full below), we thought now would be a great time to have a chat to the producer himself, and being a poster child for the iOS movement, it'll be rude not to resurrect the ol' text message interviews to do the job.
