Watch: Lauv - 26

With a “crazy” career since his debut and 2020 album release, the singer-songwriter gives us an insight to the anxiety and feelings of being lost.

Multi-platinum, chart-topping singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Lauv has been incredibly busy over the past few years as his career continues to grow. Between selling out headline tours, supporting Ed Sheeran in stadiums,  and appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, The Late Late Show with James Corden and more, since 2020’s ~how i’m feeling~ said hello to the world - an album in which we had the pleasure of interviewing the rising pop star about. This year we get a taste of what’s to come on the “next album” as Lauv releases a new pop offering 26

As an artist and a storyteller, Lauv has proven to listeners from the get-go that he is not afraid to pour emotion and thoughts into his soundscapes, no matter how personal or vulnerable they may be. 26 explores the songwriter's feelings of anxiety and being lost as a result of fame, touching on addiction and wanting to be younger.  26 is the first song from my next album. It’s the moment I woke up and realized I needed to do some work to get back to the kid I was before my life and career got so crazy.” shares Lauv.

With a visual experience to match the audio narrative, director Tobias Nathan (Alessia Cara, Miguel) creates an aesthetically appealing glimpse into Lauv’s life with fast cars, the studio, and parties.

Out now, take a look into Lauv’s life with 26 below.
