The Kite String Tangle drops new single The Prize, announces debut album release

Mark July 14 down in your diary fam.

After a relatively quiet 2016 for The Kite String Tangle, the Brisbane-based producer isn't messing around in 2017. First we had his comeback single, Selfish, a beautiful video clip for it, and the announcement he's started his own record label - Exist. Recordings. And just as hoped, he's now revealed the release date for his debut self-titled album, which will be July 14. The announcement comes with another cut from it, The Prize feat. Bridgette Amofah. And what a beauty it is. Some of TKST's best work in the past has been working in duet with female vocalists, and this one is no exception. What starts out as an upbeat little house number, quickly switches up into something else altogether. It's exciting stuff, and given Selfish also found him playing in a different genre wheelhouse, bodes incredibly well for a diverse and intriguing debut album. Bring on July 14.
