Text Message Interview: The Kite String Tangle

His three-years-in-the-making debut album is out now!

Three years in the making, today finally sees the release of The Kite String Tangle's debut self-titled album, and never has the phrase "worth the wait" been more appropriate. Featuring already-released singles SelfishThe Prize and album-opener Waiting, it's a debut that backs up all the promise and then some of the past few years that the songwriter/producer/vocalist/multi-instrumentalist has been on the Australian music scene. It's also a clear evolution and maturation of his sound, very worthy of repeat listens.

He's been traipsing around the country the past couple of weeks doing intimate listening parties for fans, and we sent him a few texts before last night's final one in Melbourne to see how he was feeling, what tracks he holds dearest, and also try and score a little exclusive on any upcoming Australian tour plans after he appears at Splendour In The Grass and The Last Frost Festival on August 19 (more info/tickets HERE).

Did we get one? Chuck his album on and read along to find out.
