Producer/singer/songwriter/dreamboat, The Kite String Tangle has finally returned to us with some new music in the form of new single, Selfish. And, not content with just giving us some new music, comes news he's launching his own label, Exist. Recordings, a joint venture between himself and UNIFIED, one that counts Golden Vessel and LASTLINGS as its first signings.

But first, Selfish, a track to remind us all why we fell in love The Kite String Tangle over 2014/15, that features typically densely layered production, dripping in emotion thanks to his signature vocals, and a bit of a turning point for the man, real name Danny Harley: "[I] realised that I wasn’t thinking about the people I love nearly as much as I should. It’s hard to admit you’re at fault but it’s also a good habit to get into if you’re wanting to be a reasonable human."

And then we have Exist. Recordings: "Exist. is a great outlet for my own projects but it’s main focus is to sign other acts and develop their music, talent and careers. Having Golden Vessel and LASTLINGS as the first two acts on the label is huge for me." It makes a lot of sense, with Harley's sound creating almost its own subgenre in the brief couple of years since he launched the project, and both artists are fine purveyors of some of the emotive electronica that litters the current Australian music landscape. Keep up to speed with Exist. Recordings HERE.
