Listen: MT WARNING - Petrified Heart (JOY. Remix) [Premiere]

A couple of Australia's bright young things combine for a special remix.

MT WARNING had a massive 2014, with a debut album receiving rave reviews, playing all over the world including Australia’s Splendour In The Grass, Laneway Festival, SXSW and UK’s Field Day, along with supporting the likes of Temper Trap, Circa Waves and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. After a little break over summer, the man known as Mikey Bee to his mates has been working on a forthcoming EP which will feature the track, Petrified Heart, and of the EP/this remix Bee had this to say:

"I needed to face myself alone and work by myself alone. I needed to dance by myself alone. I wanted to hear my own voice as it naturally sounds and make music that moves me, both in tempo and emotionThrough some lucky universe conspirings, JOY. heard Petrified Heart and came back with her remix, I liked that it scared me a little. There is a hauntingness she found and built upon that took a song I know so well into another world. Forever grateful when that shit happens."

To sum it up on our end, when two of your favourite young Australian acts find each other, you get excited abou the results, and the results have not disappointed. Both artists are set to back up huge 2014s with even bigger 2015s, and this is an exciting step forward:
